Description

Primary Job function:

Ability to take artwork and create screens for new, revised and replacement production runs. Coordinate and verify any screens that are made off site. Manage the silkscreen ink inventory. Mix ink to match customer requirements and screen product to match customer prints for clarity and location. Must be able to coordinate multi-color screens and develop curing methods and sequencing of color layers to desired customer quality requirements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create silkscreen from artwork.
  • Setup screens, mix ink, fixture parts for orienting ink within print parameters and tolerances
  • Develop curing methods (oven-bake or air-dry) per ink and product requirements
  • Arrange parts for appropriate transport to other work centers
  • Cosmetics review of finished product before release
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate multi-color screens and develop curing methods and sequencing of color layers to desired customer quality requirements.
  • Basic math and measurement skills                              
  • Ability to operate scales
  • Strong attention to details/cosmetics
  • Dependability; honesty & integrity; a positive, proactive attitude; ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to pass a respirator medical evaluation and utilize all required PPE
