Description

In conjunction with the Director, Community Engagement and Public Relations, responsible for the oversight of organizational marketing, public relations and media outreach efforts serving internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Coordinates and aligns internal and/or external team members to develop and implement press communication, all newsletters, website materials, brochures and print materials, including design and branding and written content.
  2. Accountable for development of the MTN calendar, quarterly CEO report and annual report. Manage internal and external teams throughout the process.
  3. Supports Director, Community Engagement and Public Relations (DCEPR) in managing the relationship with external marketing/public relations/advertising agency, working independently with external teams as necessary. Ensures agency adheres to deadlines, scope of work, MTN vision and budget.
  4. Manages organization of and regular updates to the MTN website, including use of WordPress content management system and delegation to internal and external team members for design and user experience support as needed.
  5. In collaboration with DCEPR, proactively build relationships with members of the press (traditional and nontraditional) to build external advocates for MTN.
  6. Builds and maintains relationships with key MTN leaders, such as department managers/directors, to ensure positive cross-team collaboration.
  7. Coordinates MTN’s annual involvement in the Rose Parade, including floragraph family selection, participation and decorating events.
  8. Builds and maintains knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations related to the donation process, including knowledge of organ, eye and tissue donation process, including DCD and brain death donation.
  9. Coordinates public campaigns including sponsorships, billboards, social marketing and print promotions.
  10. Proposes and executes unique plans/strategies for public relations and promotion across MTN service area.
  11. Develops and delivers presentations to large groups with ease and confidence.
  12. Represents MTN on state teams, and at local, regional, and national meetings and events.
  13. Supports National Donate Life Month festivities in conjunction with Hospital Services leadership.
  14. Supports Donate Life America campaigns in the MTN service area.
  15. Collaborates with Community Engagement Coordinator and Donor Designation Coordinator to coordinate campaigns for workplace partnerships, National Donor Sabbath and multicultural donor awareness events.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or equivalent field of study required.
  2. 5+ years experience in a professional position, preferably in a medical environment or a combination of experience and education providing equivalent knowledge required.
  3. Graphic design and video editing experience preferred, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  4. Experience with content management systems for website maintenance.
  5. Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. May be required to work for extended periods of time with few breaks.
  6. Detail oriented, organized, excellent tracking/reporting skills, effective written and verbal communication.
  7. Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  8. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy. Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines. Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air.
  9. Ability to lift 50 pounds and transfer short distances.
  10. Possess ability to operate telephones, cameras, computers and office equipment.
  11. Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone.
  12. OSHA Category III No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties.
  13. Home internet and wireless phone access may be required.
