Responsibilities

  • Promote a Safety-First culture
  • Ensure daily flight operations are conducted in accordance with federal (and foreign) regulations, Company and department policies. Review and resolve flight operations issues arising from operations irregularities
  • Be highly knowledgeable of the entire contents of the General Operations Manual, appropriate parts of Operations Specifications and appropriate parts of Federal Regulations pertaining to Company operations
  • Review and resolve flight operations issues arising from operations irregularities
  • Maintain currency and qualification in the at least one of the airplanes used in the certificate holders operation
  • Function as Line Check Pilot (LCP) to qualify, evaluate and mentor pilots
  • Immediately notify the Chief Pilot/Director of Operations of any discrepancy or incident that may affect the ability of the company to perform within the parameters of safety, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility
  • Crewmember recruiting and interviewing
  • Function as a crewmember monthly
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

 

Summary of Essential Duties

  • Interdepartmental collaboration (Safety, MX, Airport Operations, SOC, Admin)
  • GOM and associated Flight Ops manual revision authority
  • Delegated authority by the Director of Operations to exercise limited Operational Control of the Company (See GOM)
  • Conduct line supervisory flying to ensure the professionalism of pilots and overall pilot standards
  • Represent the Company in government (FAA), industry and community activities relating to Flight Operations
  • Facilitate pilot ground school as qualified
  • Encourage employees to make suggestions of process improvements or report errors
  • Ensure pilot appearance, attendance, and personal conduct comply with Company policy
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot

Qualifications

  • Be at least 23 years of age or older.
  • Possess a First Class FAA medical.
  • Must have a valid driver license and good driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Willing to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screening and be willing to submit to additional random drug and/or alcohol testing.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
  • Qualify under 14 CFR 119.71 and 119.69 Management Personnel under part 135
  • Have a minimum of 2500 flight hours with 1,000 flight hours as Pilot-In-Command (PIC)
  • Have a minimum of 500 hours as a PIC in turbine-powered aircraft.
  • Possess a current US Passport.
  • Ability to acquire security clearance.
  • Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
