Job Description

How do you know if you're a perfect fit for our IT Help Desk? You simply love technology and you are phenomenal at helping others with their problems. You love it when your family members ask you to help them with their computer problems. You hop on their computers and visit Ninite.

As a member of Firespring’s help desk, you’ll be expected to lead the pack in a company where technology and innovation are our passions. You will work closely with all departments across the company finding innovative ways for our employees to solve their computer problems and work more efficiently. At Firespring, IT is about more than installing software and fixing error messages. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and fix computers, printers and other technical resources. If it plugs into the wall and it's not working, then you’re the person we will call.

  • Build and deploy desktop computers and manage IT inventory and budgets.

  • Good understanding of client-server concepts will be needed to help manage and maintain some server applications.

  • Assist in setting up and managing switches, firewalls and wireless networks.

  • Work closely with vendors and build relationships with our technical partners.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation with the rest of our IT team.

  • You’re a problem solver. Nothing pushes your buttons quite like pushing the right buttons to fix something that was broken.

  • Technology you don’t understand doesn’t intimidate you. Instead, you’re compelled to master it.

  • You get giddy at the thought of tearing apart a computer to add more RAM.

  • You can help somebody with their Mac as easily as you can their PC.

  • It's all just 1s and 0s. You know that, and you know enough about networking to get them there.

  • Installing and upgrading software is just part of your day. The real fun is in helping people use it.
