Can you easily pivot between computers, phones, spreadsheets and interruptions? This job is all about helping people register for camp, answer their questions along the way and assisting them to rebook for next year. Carolina Creek Christian Camps (CCCC) is looking for someone who is passionate about our mission and desiring to invest their time in ministry. Position Objective

The Guest Relations Specialist - Registration and Retreats will work with the Director of Guest Relations and Partnerships to lead the process of contracting and registering groups all year for Carolina Creek, as well as spearheading the registration of all individual campers throughout the year. He/she will grow to be an expert on the camper registration software and will be able to assist all callers with any questions that arise. He/she will be able to deal with parents and group leaders, answering phones in a professional manner. He/she will have general knowledge of the camp program and will be able to direct calls to the right person. He/she will be responsible to model a genuine lifestyle of Christian discipleship in a manner consistent with CCCCs mission, vision, and values.

 

General Qualifications

The Guest Relations Specialist - Registration and Retreats must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in his/her faith. He/she must be fully in accord with Carolina Creek Christian Camps (CCCC) mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. He/she must be of strong moral character and integrity.

 

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • Must have a current valid driver's license

  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required

 

Work Experience

  • Previous Camping experience preferred

  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred

  • Previous Sales experience preferred

  • Previous Customer Management Software and Systems Leadership preferred

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the process of registering campers for all of our programs including summer camp and other year-round and programmed retreats

  • Assist in booking retreats including calling groups, answering inquiries, and completing contracts

  • Assist with Accounting in the processing of payments for all groups

  • Become an expert in the registration software, and helping parents and campers successfully navigate the registration process

  • Answering questions from parents, campers, and group leaders in a professional manner

  • Assist in answering phone calls and directing question to the right person in the organization

  • Possess a strong self-initiative to serve others and customers

  • Lead tours of camp and the programs we offer to perspective groups

  • Attend all required staff meetings and events

  • Actively participate in and contribute to the broader camp programs of CCCC

  • Actively engage and participate in the staff community through a godly attitude, words and actions

  • Ability to work with other departments in handing off guest and camper details

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Reports to Director of Guest Relations and Partnerships

  • None

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must possess strong communication skills with excellent telephone etiquette

  • Must be confidential and discreet when dealing with sensitive information

  • Must possess strong computer skills and an understanding of Google Drive and proficiency on the Microsoft Suite of software applications

  • Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills

  • Must be able to remain calm under stress and deal with conflict in a professional and courteous manner

  • Must have excellent written communication skills for corresponding with pastors and parents

  • Work independently, being able to be a self-starter

  • Must be organized and detail oriented

  • Must possess emotional and spiritual maturity

  • Must possess a developed sense of empathy

  • Must be flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations

  • Able to engage in active listening

  • A heart to serve wherever and whenever needed

 

Physical Demands:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in hot and humid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 60 lbs.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.

  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
