Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) - ENCORE (FTD - 12 & 8 hour shifts)

Shift: 8hr shifts/on call required 

Cardiovascular Technologist or Radiology Technologist with essential Cath Lab training to function independently during cases without a preceptor while using proper sterile technique, radiation safety, and proficiency in procedure data recording. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, other staff, management, and hospital employees of all areas. Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts small catheters through a needle into the blood vessels and into the heart so that X-rays, angiograms and other recordings can be taken to determine the heart's structure and function. Assist physicians with patient monitoring during surgery or procedures. Documents evaluation results, progress reports, and other data using appropriate EMR system. Reports to the Director of Surgical Services.  Full time shift with after-hours and weekend call required.  Must be able to respond to the facility within 30 minutes. 

Qualifications/Specifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required.
• Licensure/ Certification: Current Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license, current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required.  BLS certification required within 30 days prior to completion of orientation. ACLS required within 6 months of employment. Certification is to be renewed by recommended renewal date on certification card.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
