The Department of Business at Illinois College invites applications for a full-time position in Economics to begin Fall 2023. Candidates should have the ability to teach a variety of Economics courses in face-to-face and online formats while providing support for other majors in the Business department. Strong preference given to candidates who have the ability and interest to teach courses in one or more of the following subfields: Macroeconomics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Agricultural Economics, and/or Health Care Economics. Additional duties include contribution to the ongoing development of the business programs at the College, including online teaching; student advising and mentoring; scholarly engagement; and community involvement.
An understanding of, and appreciation for, the environment of a liberal arts college is essential, as is a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching required. A completed Doctorate is preferred; ABD candidates considered.
