Crystal Bridges is a museum of American art located in Bentonville, Arkansas. We explore the unfolding story of America by actively collecting, exhibiting, interpreting, and preserving outstanding works that illuminate the American heritage and artistic possibilities.

As an intern at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, you will be empowered to think creatively, ask questions, and make suggestions to help move the institution forward.

Position Summary:

People Services is an extension of Human Resources work and focuses more on the team members within Crystal Bridges and the Momentary! This is the perfect opportunity for a student or recent graduate to round out their resume and obtain hands on real-world immersive experiences in the Human Resources industry. The People Services Intern will engage in supporting the goals and objectives of both Crystal Bridges and the Momentary by supporting a variety of work.

Areas of Support:

The People Services Intern will actively participate and perform duties in the following functional areas:

  • Understand the importance of onboarding new team members and conducting exit interviews
  • Assist employees with career pathways within Crystal Bridges and the Momentary
  • Learn and operate Paycom and/or Workday
  • Employee Change of Status
  • Learn and comprehend how to process recruitment process audits
  • Assist with organizational development and life-long learning and training efforts
  • Learn and implement DEAI strategic efforts
  • Communicate internally with team members and externally with potential team members
  • Performance Management and Recognition
  • Database Administration and Analysis
  • Perform general administrative support such as drafting emails, proofing documents, making copies, scanning documents, printing packets etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Intern must have a willingness to learn
  • Incoming college student, undergraduate or recent graduate
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills preferred but not required
  • Experience performing administrative work preferred but not required
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • High levels of professionalism and discretion are a must a background check is required

Physical Demands and Work Environment:


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an intern to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


  • Physical demands: In the work environment described below, position requires work at a desk and utilizing a computer and a telephone for prolonged periods of time and good eye/hand coordination, bending and stretching for filing, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job.


  • Work environment: Work will be performed in an office environment with remote options on occasion. The noise level in the Museum work environment is usually low to moderate.


  • If the interns personal equipment is used, the Museum accepts no liability for any damage caused to said equipment while being used for Museum purposes.
