Position Purpose:

We’re looking for a candidate for our Grant Writer/Administrative Support to join our team. Primary responsibilities include researching funding opportunities that align with the organizational mission, creating draft responses to funding opportunities, working with the Director of Development in confirming final submissions, and supporting the Department by coordinating meetings, managing calendars, making travel plans, confirming event details, and creating meeting agendas.

 

About this position:

  • Work Location: 1001 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00an – 5:00pm with flexibility (No Remote Option at this time)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Tasks:

  • Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of Advance Community Health.
  • Leverage experience in researching potential funding sources that align with the mission of Advance Community Health.
  • Research grant opportunities from various sources with a focus on corporate and philanthropic entities.
  • Create and maintain a sophisticated matrix reflecting proposal lifecycle from investigation to submission. 
  • Track data and information for the purpose of impact reporting.
  • Craft compelling grant proposals that align with the mission of Advance Community Health and that meet the funding requirements of the proposed funding organization.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with internal stakeholders to inform and strengthen proposals.
  • Work closely with Director of Development in creating final submissions and securing executive team approvals.
  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Maintain an organized system of proposal supporting documents.
  • Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinating meetings, managing calendars, making travel plans, confirming event details, creating meeting agendas, inform Annual Report.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of grant writing experience and proven success.
  • Bachelor’s degree in creative writing or related field.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
  • Exceptional process oriented and organizational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
