Summary of Position: We are looking for a qualified Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping users and learning new technologies. Under the direction of the Managing Director of Finance & Administration, this role is a hybrid between a system administrator and a help desk analyst, managing internal infrastructure while assisting employees with day-to-day activities. The role requires broad technical experience including infrastructure, process documentation, and enterprise applications.  The ideal candidate would also have a strategic mindset that works to align with the needs of the business.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Planning, installing, documenting and supporting server infrastructure
  • Maintain network and infrastructure security
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all user related issues
  • Respond to inbound troubleshooting tickets through various forms
  • Troubleshoot office technology equipment including, but not limited to: Multifunction printers, smart TV’s, videoconferencing equipment, and conference room technology
  • Maintain individual workstations, such as drivers and settings of workstations
  • Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
  • Monitor Azure and AWS environments
  • Develop training programs for end-user technology
  • Update and maintain IT inventory for all tracked assets
  • Coordinate with Leadership for continued ongoing and future projects to align with the needs of the business
  • Provide and manage access for numerous systems as well as new hire workstation setup
  • Perform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported platforms
  • Collaborate with business units and other stakeholders as needed to implement new platforms 
  • Work with outside vendors to manage IT support needs internally
  • Act as backup support to other IT related activities that are needed in the organization
  • Minimum travel for larger events where IT support is needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education, experience, and skill requirements include but not limited to:

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • 5+ years of technical experience
  • 3+ years of managing infrastructure
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to learn multiple platforms
  • Problem-solving
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask, and excel in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, work with a sense of urgency and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and quickly adapt when changes occur
  • Experience with macOS, Windows, and Windows Server
  • Experience with Jamf is a plus
