TITLE: Facility Maintenance Associate (FLSA non-exempt) R 4.19

SUPERVISOR: Facility Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY: Serves as Facility Maintenance Associate for the Community Recreation Center and Chevy Chase Country Club. Responsibilities include performing general facility maintenance and custodial duties with supervision. Ensures that all support and service is conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of Chevy Chase and the Wheeling Park District.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists in the performance of preventative maintenance on a scheduled and seasonal basis.
Assists in the set-up/break-down of all general use areas, including tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, and sound equipment. Operates audio-visual and sound equipment as required.
Provides custodial service for the CRC and Chevy Chase facilities.
Custodial tasks include, but are not limited to cleaning floors (vinyl and carpet and wood), windows, lavatories, shower/locker facilities, windows; emptying trash; dusting furniture; and arranging for occasional contract cleaning services; e.g., draperies. In outdoor areas, emptying of trash receptacles, cleaning of water fountains and cleaning of outdoor furniture.
Work as scheduled.
Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Must be at least 18 years old.

Currently attending High School or High School graduate preferred. 
Knowledge of building maintenance is preferred.
Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and advanced communication skills are required.

Must be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to prioritize.

Must use sound judgment and be able to make decisions and function effectively under stress and interruptions.

Possess good interpersonal skills in order to manage well with a variety of personalities.
Accountable for the successful implementation of building maintenance /service plan.

CPR/AED certification preferred.
