The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design of fun, engaging, and thematic graphics for board and card games which align with vision and goals set by the game designers. Additional job responsibilities include photography of game elements and miniatures to create visually compelling scenes for dynamic storytelling.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop concepts, graphics, packaging, and layouts for products
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, font styles and size.
  • Review final layouts and suggest improvements if needed.
  • Plan and set up terrain and miniatures in visually compelling scenes.
  • Digitally edit, clip and color correct photographs for various design and marketing applications.
  • Responsible for meeting agreed upon project timelines; works with other project team members to complete projects as assigned.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously; must be comfortable working on diverse teams.
  • Attend regular meetings to discuss current projects as well as weekly department meeting.
  • Maintain excellent, frequent communication with team and other departments through meetings, email, instant messenger.
  • Periodically coordinate freelance projects by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing work of a freelancer.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent, flexible, and creative design sensibilities.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven success at meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to provide technical direction to others.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and individuals
  • Associates Degree in Graphic Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Four to five years of Graphic Design experience required.
  • Experience in the hobby game market a plus.
  • Experience with electronic production and designing for print (offset and print-on-demand).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Additional experience in photoshop tools such as masking and adjustment layers a plus.
  • Background in photography, lighting and working with Camera RAW a plus.
  • Experience with coding in JavaScript, AppleScript, or equivalent a plus.
  • Experience with Blender, Modo, or equivalent 3D software a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Mac OS.
