Bachelor’s degree in science, education, or related field and at least 4 years related experience and/or training in an informal education setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with coding, robotics, make and tinkering, and engineering design preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must have a valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record. Prefer North Carolina Teaching Certificate but not required.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general science publications, elementary and secondary curriculum. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment (the museum) is usually moderate.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
