Description

Key Requirements and Duties:

  • Manages the requisition/planning processes to ensure compliance of procurement/planning activities to ISO/cGMP regulations and ERP system requirements
  • Maintains stockrooms inventory supply through the analysis of consumption, reorder points and order quantities in conjunction with vendor representatives
  • Submits purchase requisitions and online orders for direct and indirect materials
  • Manages supplier relationships through price negotiations, resolving discrepancies and conveying quality and regulatory requirements
  • Assists in managing Supplier Performance review process
  • Manages Supply Center related activities
  • Manage Vendor Change Notification Program by monitoring compliance to regulatory requirements
  • Compile and analyze data to perform price analysis, make source selections and procurement justifications. 
  • Supports the annual cost roll/standard costing activities
  • Interface with internal customers and suppliers to ensure that the material/services are delivered on-time and in accordance with the specifications and quality notes documented in the Purchase Order.
  • Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
  • Process non-conforming material requests and RMA requests with supply chain

       partners.

  • Prepares material requirements plan and coordinates with departmental members to ensure timely delivery of production materials
  • Supports intradepartmental requests for materials, including verifying availability and issuing from inventory management system.
  • Creates and updates bills of materials and routers to ensure accuracy
  • Monitors inventory levels and coordinates restocking of common reagents
  • Generates work orders and production paperwork
  • Analyzes planned labor hours based on historical data
  • Support departmental projects such as software, process implementation and administration
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: 

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferable Skills and Attributes:            

  • Understanding of Supply Chain practices and principles
  • ERP knowledge: QAD especially beneficial
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO and cGMP requirements
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Follows direction and instructions accurately, asks questions and learns quickly, attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team and management
  • Can manage multiple projects
  • Personable with a positive attitude
  • Reliable attendance
  • Demonstrates ability to train others

Required Training:

  • Probationary training to be completed within the first 90 days of employment
  • Skilled use of current systems to be completed within the first 90 days of employment
  • Must be willing to continually train relating to processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements
