Overview of Position

The incumbent will have Ad Agency Account Management experience and with general direction, works across all agency departments to oversee client projects, ensuring they run smoothly and meet client expectations and goals. Works with account supervisors to help train, supervise, develop and evaluate staff.

  • Proactive leadership that includes strategic thinking and input on behalf of clients.
  • Regularly communicates and liaises with clients at a senior level, including leading meetings and presenting client work as needed.
  • Leads client meetings and plays a significant role in new business pitches.
  • Works with account supervisor to effectively manage internal teams.
  • Helps to train, supervise, develop and evaluate staff.
  • Participates in community events and volunteers with community organizations.
  • Manages client work, including work plan implementation, schedules.
  • Manages client budgets and billing, as well as providing accurate projections.
  • Participates in planning, creating, communicating and evaluating client campaigns.
  • Supports new business efforts, including proposal writing and research/identification of new business prospects.
  • Performs administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to present before colleagues and clients.
  • Able to set meeting expectations and lead discussion.
  • Able to manage client expectations.
  • Able to demonstrate appropriate sense of urgency regarding workload, deadlines and priorities.
  • Able to resolve conflicts.
  • Knowledge of business financial principles, including budgeting.
  • Able to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of database, Internet, spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Significant experience in professional client relationship management.
  • Significant experience in advertising and marketing.
  • Has the ability to plan and strategize at a senior level.
  • Conveys a persuasive and confident approach to creative projects.
  • Effective team management/leadership capabilities.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education

  • Has keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints.
  • Has full awareness of creative digital platforms.
