HOME MANAGER / QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional)

This person will be responsible for performing a dual role of Home Manager and QIDP and must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes some nights and weekends and a rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities of Home Manager:

Under the direction of the Northwest Residential Program Director, provides general supervision to all Direct Support Professionals/Personal Care Attendants of assigned homes.  Ensures proper delivery of support services and implementation of each individual's program plan by providing care, guidance and training for multiple staff and homes on a 24-hour basis. Makes work/home assignments and schedules, reviews work, evaluates performance, recommends and may initiate disciplinary action and identifies and provides necessary training that is needed.

   Monitors and supervises client care, activities, and any and all supports related to client support and client home environment. Ensures       individual records are maintained with current and precise documentation in accordance with all applicable regulations, standards             and guidelines. 

Responsibilities of QIDP:

The QIDP is responsible for developing client specific program plans to include goals and objectives for the care provided, based on the individual’s strengths and needs.  Additional responsibilities include:

  • Completing assessment summaries for each client and documenting progress on implemented objectives.
  • Assisting and providing training to Direct Support Professionals/Personal Care Attendants on implemented client objectives and specific needs.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in a field related to Human Services
  • At least 1-year experience in initiating, writing and implementing individual person care plans
  • Management experience in a Residential setting with 1-year of professional level experience in a program providing health care services, mental health services, and/or developmental disability services, rehabilitative services, or special education.
  • Case management experience in a related field is preferred
  • Experience supporting people with developmental disabilities is preferred
