General Qualifications
The Kidder Creek Assistant Cook is Ministerial Support position. Ministerial Support staff serve in operational and service support roles and are not required to personally affirm Mount Hermon
Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) Christian mission, vision and beliefs. However, it is expected that staff who fill these roles – no matter their personal beliefs - respect, work in harmony with, and not undermine MHA’s Christian mission, vision and beliefs. Additionally, they are required to abide by MHA’s culture code and standards of conduct.
All staff are expected to join gatherings, which includes prayer, worship, and Bible-centered teaching.
Position Objective
The Assistant Cook position is responsible for assisting the Cook at Ranch Camp or Timberline in all aspects of preparing meals for guests and staff at Kidder Creek (“KC”) in a safe manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Complete menu as provided and instructed by the Cook at Ranch Camp or Timberline.
- Pull, prepare, serve and store food in accordance with food handling procedures to ensure safe, nutritious meals for guests’ enjoyment and to prevent food spoilage and/or foodborne illness.
- Assist in instructing summer staff/students about prepping, serving, clean up, and dishwashing methods.
- Other duties as assigned by the Cook and/or the Food Service Coordinator.
Supervisory Responsibilities
There are no direct supervisory responsibilities for this position.
