Description

If you are an early-career professional seeking an administrative position within the mental health, human services, or community health industry, we are seeking a new Program Assistant for the Northern Rivers Youth ACT program based out of Queensbury, NY and would love to talk with you!

 

As a Program Assistant, you will be responsible for the administrative tasks of the program including: greeting clients and family members at the program site, assisting callers in accessing Youth ACT resources, managing referral lists and other program data. You will coordinate with team members to ensure that the program functions smoothly and meets the needs of clients and families. Youth ACT is a program that provides services for children with mental illness or serious emotional disturbance and their families through less traditional service delivery methods with an approach that is family-driven, youth guided, and developmentally appropriate. You will report to the Director of Youth ACT and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and direct calls to the appropriate staff and department from community partners and other agency staff while engaging with callers with a kind, caring, and positive attitude.
  • Manage the referral, intake, treatment, and discharge process for the Youth ACT program on a daily basis.
  • Schedule all necessary appointments by working collaboratively with the treatment team.
  • Assist the Team Lead with auditing documentation for accuracy and completion
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the electronic record keeping system through written progress notes, locating documentation, running reports, and completing billing needs
  • Alert clinicians and prescribers when documentation is required.
  • Scan paper documents over to responsible Care Associate or attach to appropriate participant Electronic Client Record
  • Order office supplies.
  • Assist with the onboarding of Youth ACT staff to ensure all supplies, sign on, and systems are set up for new staff.
  • Review and distribute all incoming faxes and mail for Division.

Requirements and Education:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of related experience
