Job Summary: 

As a Wellinks Data Engineer you will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. You should be an expert at developing, maintaining, and testing infrastructures for data generation. The Data Engineer will support our engineers on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Assemble large, complex data sets
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other KPIs
  • Work with the Executive, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs  

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, applied math or related field
  • 5+ years working as a Data Engineer
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions
  • Ability to manipulate, process and extract information from large data sets
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong project management and organization skills

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience with Data Visualizations Tools, like Tableau
  • Experience with AWS Glue and Redshift
