Description

Workplace Location:

Huntington Beach, CA, Office or Remote Support from Home (CV19 Pandemic Only)

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Agent will support end-to-end purchase order (PO) and Transfer Order management, including creation, modification, maintenance, back-order expedites and inquiry status, supplier/internal-production interface and delivery management, three-way match to invoice reconciliation and all necessary corollary administrative support tasks.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Under direction of Supply Chain Management or Planner-Analysts, support ongoing sourcing and purchasing activities
  • Generate and administer internal and external purchase orders (PO)
  • Generate and administer internal and external transfer orders (TO)
  • Perform 3-way match PO, PO receipt to invoice reconciliation
  • Support, create, maintain, analyze, expedite, and report backorder status
  • Create and maintain Bills-of-Materials (BOMs)
  • Log and expedite Master Asset Print Files
  • Interface with Suppliers and Internal Production as required on PO/TO

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. degree or 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials
  • Working understanding of supply chain, inventory management and MRP/ERP concepts
  • MRP/ERP procurement system experience
  • RFQ and Purchase Order generation experience

  • Exceptional MS Excel skills, proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Consummate team player with superior interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Able to support peak workload schedule overtime requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, including at a computer
  • Occasional lifting, of up to 20 lbs., of products and transport to other buildings
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard, mouse, and lifting or transferring of items.
  • Frequent walking, standing, stooping, or kneeling

Work Conditions:

  • General office environment and/or ability to work remotely from home (requires fast-working network or Wi-Fi connection)
  • Occasional exposure to warehouse and outside weather conditions
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment
