Job Position: Audiologist - Part Time

 

Position Summary: We are offering employment opportunities to Audiologists who are interested in providing high-quality audiological services related to the auditory needs of our patients in the diverse communities that we serve.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Providing individual comprehensive audiological evaluations (including Central Auditory Processing Evaluations).
  • Administering examinations including detailed questionnaire and battery of tests to evaluate auditory and vestibular system; reads, interprets, prepares, and sends tracings to referring physician.
  • Fitting, verifying, and monitoring FM/DM Hearing Assistive Technology devices based on auditory need of patients.
  • Providing counseling to patients and their families.
  • Preparing reports on diagnostic findings; ensuring reports are distributed appropriately and confidentially as authorized by patient or patients family.
  • Monitoring inventory and initiating replacement orders to maintain operating supply level; ensures supplies are properly stored.
  • Providing didactic and practical in-service training to Physicians and other practice staff.
  • Participating in research, conferences, and meetings.
  • No inpatient responsibilities.
  • Part time (1 to 2 days/week).

 

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Audiology
  • NYS Audiology License
  • NYS Hearing Aid Dispensing License
  • ASHA Certification
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferred.
