Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity and respect.


Under the supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer The Department Head of Residential Services will supervise our three residential programs Horizons - is a CARF accredited, intensive short-term inpatient program for individuals struggling with addiction or co-occurring with addiction and mental health, First Step - a DPH licensed 27 bed residential detox unit for individuals aged 18 and over struggling with addiction to alcohol, opiates and/or benzodiazepines and New Prospects - a program designed to provide services for individuals who are experiencing difficulties stabilizing their substance abuse and mental health issues and seek short-term intensive treatment of approximately 30 days.


Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (flexibility and on call required)



  • Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises Directors and Clinical Coordinators of residential programs.
  • Schedules, coordinates and facilitates monthly meetings with residential managers to promote standardization to the extent feasible, collaborative team work and enhanced systems of care.
  • Recommends and establishes service policies and procedures in cooperation with other RNP managers, the Director of Risk Management and Quality and Chief Clinical Officer.
  • Assumes an active role in continuous quality improvement systems to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provides effective individual and group clinical supervision for supervisees and interns.
  • Seeks funding and participates in grant writing in conjunction with CCO and CEO.
  • Collaborates with RNP managers and administrators to promote improved systems with IT, Operations, HR and Finance.
  • Ensures contract compliance with funding sources and regulatory bodies.
  • May assist in budget preparation and monitoring of revenues and expenditures.
  • Professionally represents RNP in meetings with other community providers.
  • Provides Clinical on-call support to all RNP Residential Programs.
  • Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Education: Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or related field required.

Credentials and Licenses: Connecticut Licensure in a Behavioral Health discipline. (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Etc…)

Experience Minimum of five (8) years of experience in the delivery of mental health and addiction
services with adults and.

  • Successful experience serving in a management role, preferably a minimum of three years
  • Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in, or the ability to learn how to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system which includes appointment scheduling, authorization tracking, assessments,
    treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries



Incumbents may be required to secure professional certification and/or license.  Valid Connecticut driver's license required.
