Description

Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager will spearhead the company’s strategic growth initiatives across current and emerging markets. With a focus on serving customers within the Department of Defense (DOD), Federal Agencies (FED), and Law Enforcement (LE), the successful candidate will be adept at evaluating market demands and leveraging our product suite, Training services, and Engineering capabilities to address pressing client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Market Evaluation: Understand, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities within the DOD, FED, and LE domains. Determine the alignment of current product offerings with the trajectory and missions of these sectors.
  • Product and Partnership Development: Identify market offering gaps and spearhead the development of new product offerings. Formulate and nurture strategic partnerships to complement and enhance our suite of products and services.
  • Financial & Market Analysis: Analyze financial data, including sales trends, to propose strategies that optimize pricing strategies. Conduct rigorous market research to pinpoint new opportunities and present findings to senior management.
  • Networking and Engagement: Establish and sustain relationships with government point-of-contacts, industry peers, and academic institutions. Harness these connections to anticipate market demands and foster rapid response discussions for teaming opportunities. 
  • Proposal Management: Demonstrated expertise in the U.S. Government proposal processes is essential. This role encompasses executing proposal efforts from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with government criteria. 
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on evolving trends, and develop a comprehensive understanding of Tactical Electronics products, ensuring apt demonstrations to potential clients. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year university and eight years of business development or sales experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience from within a military background. 
  • Demonstrated experience in navigating programs of record.
  • A keen analytical mindset, with proven experience in financial analysis and market research.
  • Strong networking skills, with a history of building and maintaining industry relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft and present compelling proposals.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
