Job Position: Hematologist/Oncologist/Internist
We are offering an employment opportunity for a physician to provide patient care in the fields of hematology, oncology, and internal medicine in the diverse communities that we serve. As a rapidly growing network, we provide a supportive environment for our physicians to practice medicine under the guidance of dedicated medical leadership.
Essential Functions:
- Provides complete, comprehensive, clinical care for all patients in the fields of internal medicine, hematology, and oncology
- Provides clinical care services including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care, preventive and health care maintenance to patients.
- Works collaboratively with other providers and nurses to provide comprehensive, compassionate health care to all patients
- Reassesses progress of the disease as treatment progresses and pursue alternative therapies as needed, as well as palliative care when appropriate
- Maintains patients quality of life by managing cancer-related pain and other symptoms and side effects of treatment
- Maintains timely and detailed notes of appointments with patients
- Prepares official health documents or records, when necessary
- Participates in committees, quality assurance activities, and continuing medical education to maintain excellence in clinical practice
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bilingual English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) required
- Licensed MD in NY; DEA license
- Hematology/Oncology/Internal Medicine board-certified or board-certified soon after hire
- 3+ years of experience preferred but all welcome
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and use multiple systems, including our EMR to provide medical information and patient support/follow up after the clinical visit
- Passionate about customer service, quality of care, and patient satisfaction
- Courteous, empathic, and professional manner
- No inpatient responsibilities
- After hours coverage by phone only on a rotational basis
- Flexible with a full-time work schedule, possibly including weekends
