Scott Family Amazeum Overview
The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum in Northwest Arkansas and recognized as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We create a fun environment where risk taking, imagining, problem solving, discovery, collaboration, and exploration bring children and adults together to learn and grow.

Position Summary
The Accounting Manager at the Scott Family Amazeum will report directly to the Chief Business Officer and will oversee the functions of the accounting department which include accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxation, payroll, financial reporting, budgets, record keeping and financial controls. The Accounting Manager will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. They will be ethical, thorough, and attentive with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Functions

Working with the Chief Business Officer to compile, analyze, and report financial data

Making journal or ledger entries

Preparing balance sheet reconciliations

Reconciling all point of sale systems to payments

Ensuring that company bills are paid and debts are collected

Managing the company purchasing card program

Preparing monthly/quarterly invoices for grant and exhibit partners

Preparing monthly sales tax reports

Preparing and filing annual 1099s

Preparing monthly and yearly financial reports and budgets

Leading the annual budget process

Working with People Services to process/approve payroll

The accounting point of contact for auditors, internal departments and external parties, including suppliers

Using bookkeeping software to enter information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate

Identifying, implementing and enforcing financial controls
