Banquet Bartender

SUMMARY: Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of banquet functions by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take orders from customers or server
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitter to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Serves wine draught or bottled beer
• Collects money for drinks served (if cash bar), tallies drink consumption for charges to master
• Requisitions/receives liquors and supplies from beverage manager
• Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
• Cleans and maintains bar areas including portable bars
• Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Listed below are the qualifications that represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability to perform this job successfully:

• Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure
• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must be able to work independently

• Must meet legal age requirements for the position

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• One to two years related experience
• Resort and/or hospitality experience preferred
• High school diploma or equal to a GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must speak and communicate in English
• Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Proficient in POS system preferred

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES

• Food Handler Certification required
• TIPS Certification required
• Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US
