Overview: The SMB Field Sales Representative will support small and medium businesses that
require advanced communications infrastructure. The SMB Field Sales Representative will
build, maintain and grow relationships with customers, serving as the main coordinator between
the customer’s needs and Surf Internet.
The SMB Field Sales Representative requires technical proficiency with WAN Communications,
fiber optics, telecommunications, and information technology. The ideal candidate has the ability
to apply a consultative and trusted advisor approach to deliver solutions that match customers’
technical, business and budgetary requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador for the Surf Internet brand
- Generate sales revenue by actively promoting Surf Internet enterprise transport/internet services to customers in your assigned markets
- Identify, initiate contact with and qualify potential customers.
- Identify and pursue “on-net” (connectivity directly to Surf Internet infrastructure) and “off- net” (packaging leased services from other providers) connectivity options for customers.
- Promote primary and back-up (business continuity) connectivity to customers.
- Create professional pricing proposals, manage pricing/technical revisions, and guide customers through contract and service level agreement provisions.
- Coordinate with the sales engineering team to match customer needs to available network resources.
- Coordinate with construction staff to establish clear timelines for service deployment.
- Clearly communicate with customers regarding timelines, contract requirements and support provisions.
- Maintain current business relationships with customers, securing existing revenue on long-term commitments.
- Apply knowledge of customers, industry, and services to achieve revenue objectives.
- Track, analyze and report on sales performance and activities in Surf’s HubSpot CRM.
- Develop accurate and timely forecasts of sales opportunities.
