What Requirements Are Needed to be Successful in This Position:

Leading Habitats Critical Home Repair Support team to meet programmatic goals in an effective and timely manner. Providing guidance and support to Family Partners participating in Habitat Charlotte Regions Critical Home Repair Program (HCHR) for the entire service area (Iredell and Mecklenburg counties [except Matthews]). Working in conjunction with other members of the Family Services, Construction and Development departments this person will provide leadership and oversight of the Critical Home Repair program, working to fulfill Habitat Charlotte Regions mission: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

 

Essential Functions (other duties as assigned):

  • In coordination with Critical Home Repair Director - Family Services (CHRDFS), help to review policies and procedures of HCHR program in:

    • An annual review of policy.

    • Oversight of community service hours, deed restrictions, and repayment structure.

  • Provide direct supervision to HCHR Support Coordinators and AmeriCorps National members.

  • Provide oversight of grant compliance by ensuring receipt of required documentation and forms, communicating with other involved parties, completing necessary reports, and participating in audits as needed.

  • Assist CHRDFS in the completion of required periodic reports, working to provide accurate and relevant program information to inform the growth of the program.

  • Oversee and coordinate opportunities for recognition of Family Partners/volunteers/staff involved in projects and celebration of partnerships with Habitat, specifically coordinating the Annual Family Reunion event.

  • Work closely with CHRDFS, HCHR Construction and Grants team to establish impact measurement processes and analysis to determine impact of program components and changes as they occur.

  • Partake in HCHR strategic meetings with HCHR Family Services, HCHR Construction and Grants team to measure progress of pipeline, develop/change procedures and communicate program changes

  • Provide guidance to HCHR Support staff in coordinating efforts for Family Partners participation in the HCHR program which include but not limited to: monthly Aging Together workshops and Community Service opportunities.

  • Provide case management to the HCHR Family Partners throughout HCHR program by:

  • Setting program expectations.

  • Answering questions relevant to the program and their project as able.

  • Advocating for the interests of Family Partners as needed.

  • Preparing and executing required program documents in a timely fashion, in coordination with HCHR Construction staff, Grants, and Family Partners.

  • Habitat Charlotte Region-related tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • 2 years supervisory experience or as a project manager, preferred

  • 2 years Social Services or Housing-related experience

  • College degree preferred

  • Experience work with diverse populations

  • Intermediate-level Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Grant Compliance

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a Team Environment

  • Ability to manage Multiple Priorities

  • Exceptional Organizational Skills, dedication to completing projects in a timely manner, and great attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Program Development Skills

  • Commitment to Habitat Charlotte Region principles and core values

  • N.C. Notary, preferred

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Personal Vehicle that can be used occasionally for business purposes

 

Physical requirements:

  • Ability work in office environment as needed which requires ability to speak, hear, with the visual and manual dexterity to manage papers, reports, and typing.  Must embody the capacity to maintain the following for several hours at a time: use of personal computer or similar technology, phone, sitting as required. 
  •  Ability to lift/pull up to 20lbs.
  • Ability to visit Home Repair sites, including homes that may have stairs.

  • Tuesday - Saturday 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. (Occasional evening and weekend hours required)
