Summary

Research and Data Project Coordinator is a new position to coordinate the delivery of PlayCores health and wellness research/data services, specializing on projects with key customer accounts and strategic partners. Major project management responsibilities are threefold: cultivate and maintain high-quality communications with internal and external stakeholders, manage and deliver field-based community outreach activities, and implement research methodologies. This position works directly with CSS research/data team and collaboratively within CSS (CORE, Marketing, Digital, Innovation) to support the growth and execution of PlayCores broader scope of research/data services. Candidates should have the knowledge and experience to effectively manage community-based participatory research projects, including handling logistics, being first point of contact, and relationship management. The best candidates are self-motivated, team-oriented, results-driven, and customer/partner-devoted. The job requires an attention to detail, outstanding organization and time management skills, excellent written and interpersonal skills, research experience, and an enthusiasm to put research into practice to build healthy communities through play and recreation.

Education and/or Experience

  • 4 year degree from an accredited University in park and recreation, public health, communication, community planning, data science or related field.
  • Master degree is preferred.
  • At least 1-year experience in job(s) related to communications, community engagement, public relations, research translation/applications, or education.
  • Project management experience in community-based participatory projects.
  • Research/data management and translation experience is highly preferred.
