EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- JD degree required with at least four years of senior staff and project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working as a lawyer in a law firm or corporate legal department strongly preferred
- Experience supervising and leading a team, with demonstrated ability to train, mentor and retain employees and develop growth and potential
- Extensive knowledge of the public interest law sector, including understanding of social justice issues and familiarity with nonprofit organizations
- Fundraising experience or relationship management experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities to achieve results
- High degree of self-motivation and determination; self-starter; operates independently and works well in a team environment; great communicator
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically

LOCATION
Daily activities are conducted in a typical office environment. EJW adheres to a hybrid work model whereby employees who live within a reasonable commuting area within the Washington, DC metropolitan area must be in person in-office two times per week.
- Regular travel is expected to be up to 20% - 25%.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The salary range for the Associate Director, Fellowships position is $106,200 - $120,000, based on experience.
