Department: Clinical

Location: Various locations across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens

Job position: Quality Registered Nurse

Essential Functions:

• Assess patient symptoms and communicate them to providers
• Perform triage
• Perform routine procedures (measure vital signs, medication administration, injections, etc.)
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain proper infection control and patient safety
• Vaccine management
• Educate patients regarding preventative care for their health

• Counsel patients on chronic disease management
• Medication review and teachings (glucometer, insulin, inhaler teaching)
• Inform patients of test results and management plan
• Oversee patient flow and care coordination
• Participate in quality control and improvement
• Keep up to date with new guidelines, updates, policies and disseminate to clinical staff
• Participating in RN meetings and possible committee meetings

• Implement new policies and workflow or changes and reinforce existing ones

• Supervise clinical staff and serve as team leader
• Other tasks as assigned related to specific specialty office and as assigned by provider or RN supervisor
• Possible travel between sites for clinical coverage

Qualifications:

• Bilingual English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) required

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required

• Current NYS Registered Nurse License and registration required

• BLS or ACLS certification required

• 1-2+ years clinical nursing experience in a community setting preferred

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Passionate about customer service and patient satisfaction

• Flexible with a full-time work schedule including weekends
