We are looking Senior Manager of Data Engineering to deliver on our data strategy. This opportunity is remote-eligible from the Eastern or Central time zones in the United States. It can also be based out of our headquarters in Fort Mill, SC.

What you can expect:

• This individual will be accountable to drive a cohesive data strategy across the organization in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• This role will build team to deliver highly performant and scalable data platform to deliver on outcome-based reporting and dashboards, while driving data engineering best practices
• Lead, manage, and grow data engineering team
• Help our clients with designing and building data and analytics architectures to enable better business outcomes
• Collaborate with internal teams to find areas of opportunities for automation and machine learning
• Partner with architects, product owners, data professionals, and software & data engineers to drive the implementation of new applications
• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies
• Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into Azure environments and provide operational support for the applications
• Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards

• Technical Expertise: Strong engineering and technology background with the ability to learn quickly and go deep into our product and engineering solutions
• Effective Communication: Excellent listener; proven collaborator with senior leaders, peers and staff and present clear insights

• Bold: History of taking smart, calculated risks and aggressively leading through change
• Experience with ETL, ELT, data ingestion/cleansing, data ingestion and storage
• Experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse, Big Data Analytics, Power BI or similar data visualization tool
• Independent and able to manage and prioritize workload
• Ability to adapt quickly and positively to change
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Agile and/or Scrum methods of delivery
• At least 5 years of experience managing data engineering teams
• At least 3 years of experience with Big Data
• At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based data platforms
• At least 3 years of experience with Data Lake Infrastructure, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics tools
• 3+ years of experience with Azure

Bonus points for:

• Engineering experience using large data systems on T-SQL, and/or Python
• MS Certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Fundamentals
• Healthcare or FinTech experience
