AccessOne is seeking an experienced Sr. Human Resources Generalist to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The Sr. Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources and will serve as the department second in command, having both administrative and strategic responsibilities, assisting with and managing important HR functions.

What you can expect:

  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Own the new hire onboarding and orientation process from the offer through the completion of the 90-day review.
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations.
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you bring

Education and experience

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field
  • Accredited Professional Human Resources certification (i.e.: SHRM-CP or PHR)
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience
  • 3+ years proven track record in leading initiatives and managing small projects.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite specifically in Excel (pivot tables, logic including VLOOKUP and embedded formulas/functions).
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
