About Yakima Chief Hops

Yakima Chief Hops SA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yakima Chief Hops Inc., a US based processer, marketer and seller of high-quality hops used in the craft beer industry as well as in traditional large-scale breweries.  Yakima Chief Hops, Inc. is owned exclusively by family farmers who grow hops in the Pacific Northwest portion of the US and has been in business for over 25 years. 

The European business unit based in Belgium delivers to craft and macro breweries. The local finance team is covering the European business and is part of a more global finance team in US.

 

Job Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  2. First experience in similar position.
  3. Knowledge of Excel and comfortable with IT tools.
  4. Written and spoken English.
  5. Precise and rigorous with excellent analytical and communication skills.
  6. Organized, autonomous and committed.
  7. Belgium based position.

 

Job Summary

As part of a finance team of 5 members and under supervision of the Finance Director, you will perform the following tasks for the European business.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Ensure completeness and accuracy of the order to cash cycle (Invoicing, Collection,…)
  2. Manage the dunning process.
  3. Be the point of contact for the business for all customer related matters.
  4. Manage customer status and credit limits in the ERP and ensure respect of the credit policy.
  5. Prepare analysis on accounts receivables.
  6. Be in charge of financials for e-Commerce.
  7. Be a back-up in the team for various accounting activities.
  8. Be a key player in the AR transformation projects (Automation, Digitalization).
  9. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements.
  10. May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee.
  11. Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
  12. Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
  13. Must adhere to all company policies.
  14. Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
  15. Follow all SOPs in a given area.
  16. Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
