Butte Hospice is seeking volunteers to help us in our mission to support local families at a time when they need help the most. Hospice volunteers provide breaks for families, provide companionship, and even help with light household chores. Hospice volunteers are a vital part of our team. 

Serious student applicants only.  Please be realist with your time and obligations.  Student Volunteers must be willing to travel throughout the service area (Butte, Glenn and Tehama Counties) in order to meet our patients needs. Make sure you have reliable transportation.

• Must love serving the senior population
• Intentions of a semester agreement (some students choose to stay longer)
• Must have emotional maturity, sensitivity, listening skills, successful incorporation of losses in own life, and ability to accept people as they are.
• Willing to commit roughly 2 hours per week and attend quarterly meetings.

You will be required to provide:

• Current Drivers License
• Social Security Card
• Auto Insurance (current dates with your name as policy holder or listed as a driver)
• Current DMV Driving Record (May be obtained at DMV office or online)
• 2 TB Tests (CSUC Student Health Center will provide these, must comply with CDC two-step guidelines)
• Willing to pay for the $50 Criminal Background charges (Check or Cash Accepted)
