The Marketing Communications Specialist will join Atlantic Capitals (ACB) marketing team to enrich ACBs collateral with new thought leadership, guides and marketing copy. This position will deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to ACBs audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness. This position will also create both internal and external communication, and will work closely with the marketing team and other key stakeholders to create and deliver content across both digital and print channels.


Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Manage ACB's online and offline communication with clients and prospects
  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
  • Generate ideas for new content types
  • Write clear marketing copy to promote ACBs products/services
  • Prepare well-structured drafts for input from manager and key stakeholders prior to publication
  • Proofread and edit content before publication
  • Coordinate with designer to illustrate articles
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Identify customers needs and gaps in content and recommend new topics
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
  • Update external and internal website content as needed
  • Produce marketing copy for ACBs website
  • Craft and send regular internal and external newsletters with company updates
  • Create content for and manages ACBs social media channels
  • Join social media groups and professional platforms to discuss industry-related topics
  • Monitor corporate website and social media pages and address clients queries
  • Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness
  • Gather customer feedback to inform sales and product teams
  • Collaborate with marketing team to coordinate ACB events and conferences

Skill & Competencies

  • Experience doing research using multiple sources
  • Familiarity with web publications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with B2B advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Experience with marketing campaigns on social media
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Highly organized



  • BS in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
  • 5+ years as a Content Writer, Copy Writer, or similar role/experience preferred
  • Work samples and/or portfolio of published articles required
  • Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress) experience required
  • Email Marketing Systems (e.g. MailChimp) experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Office
