Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for daily maintenance, upkeep of arena, stalls and grounds of the Rolling Hills Equestrian Center.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Plans the activities of the maintenance department including, grounds maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Outlines and prioritizes maintenance and construction projects.
  • Remove manure in arena, parking lot and stall area.
  • Prepare stalls for events, unlock and lock stalls as producer needs.
  • Assist in parking for events.
  • Remove all trash from equestrian center to waste disposal area.
  • Pressure wash vendor and bleacher area before, during and after events.
  • Perform special projects as directed.
  • Work in a manner, which will cause the least amount of disturbance to the guest.
  • Record and report any maintenance problems found.
  • Know and abide by all company policies and procedures including safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Slip Resistant Shoes.

Education and/or Experience

High school education and one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver’s License.  Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet, hot, and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to load and will require the use of hearing protection.
