Job Summary:  Responsible for guiding hearts, minds and souls of Middle School Students at St. Mary School toward Our Lord through the teaching of History and Theology

Rate of Pay: $40,000 – $90,000 Salary/year per the AoD Teacher Pay Scale

Teachers are given 2 personal days and 10 sick days per year. 2 of those sick days may be used as additional personal days.

Normal Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week, Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with lunch during school year. Teachers are contracted to work 185 days per year and some evenings for school events.

Reports to:  The Pastor, the Principal, and their representatives

Duties:

 

  • Teach, lead, and guide Middle School Students to Our Lord through the subjects of History and Theology
  • Prepare Lesson plans designed to implement stated goals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish student performance expectations that are clear and consistent
  • Maintain an efficient, functional and pleasant leaning environment that sets a high standard of behavior, but is consistent and fair to all students
  • Support and enforce school-wide policies and rules
  • Effectively and respectfully communicate and maintain a positive relationship with parents, students, the Parish community, the principal, and other staff members
  • Model an attitude of service
  • Be timely with reporting of grades and incidents
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Principal

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Must be a Catholic in Good Standing

Must have or obtain within 2 years of hiring a valid Colorado Teaching License
