Payroll Manager position for a multi-automotive accounting department is immediately available. We are seeking a professional, highly motivated individual. The ideal candidate must be disciplined, driven individual who delivers quality results, takes accountability and demonstrates a high degree of integrity. Must be able to demonstrate self-motivation, unconditionally dependable, ability to handle a high volume of work, take initiative to complete tasks, and possess excellent problem solving skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to supervise an non- exempt staff, coach and train to maintain department integrity and meet internal and external deadlines.
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data with attention to detail.
- Entering changes regarding exemptions, insurance codes/coverages, direct deposits, transfers, garnishments, and other payroll related functions.
- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, non-taxable wages, employee count, new hires and terminations.
- Correctly calculate employee federal income tax, social security tax, unemployment and any other government requirements.
- Maintain a strict confidential code of ethics relating to all information.
