Groundskeeper

Daily Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the schedule set forth by the Supervisor and execute the duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Interact directly with customers and Festival artists using excellent communication and customer service skills
  

• Responsible for helping maintain the beautiful grounds by emptying trash cans, picking up loose trash, servicing restrooms and food courts, sweeping decks, and light landscaping needs.
  

• Be alert and attentive to people needing assistance and provide customer service.
  

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Engage with each patron and staff directly, giving each the attention they deserve, and making them feel welcome while working to meet their needs quickly and efficiently.

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing operations.

• Maintain a pleasant work environment for customers and colleagues.

• Work towards continuous optimization of operations by providing Supervisor and management with timely feedback.

• Work together with all departments to make sure their needs are met.

• Play the role of brand ambassador of the Sawdust Festival.

Pay Range
$16.00 to $18.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• Available to work day, night, and weekend shifts.

• Have ability to remove and haul 50-gal trash cans.

• Can handle rakes, shovels, loppers, and other common tools.

• Can see a problem and take action.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Grace under pressure.

• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.

• Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty!
  

Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed in an outdoor environment.

Physical Requirements:

Grounds attendants will spend periods of time on their feet. Reaching and bending over to move boxes, trash bags, and other items from 25-50lbs will be needed.
