DC Operations Trainer

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Belding, Michigan, Flat River Group, LLC is a leading end-to-end ecommerce partner that works with vendors to take their businesses to the next level by accelerating ecommerce sales growth. We sell a variety of product categories as a 1st Party Seller, including toys, games, pet, sports & outdoor, home and patio, lawn & garden. Flat River Group has experienced incredible growth over the last 12 years, and we now have five US-based distribution facilities 

We are currently searching for a DC Operations Trainer for our Peru, IL distribution center. The DC Operations Trainer position is a year-round position dedicated to training new associates. This position will provide training to all new temporary and full-time warehouse employees, providing mentorship on job-specific tasks and procedures. 

The ideal candidate will have interest and experience helping others to learn and follow a process, and the ability to communicate well with internal teams, lead employees, and possess a desire to pass on knowledge of Flat River Group processes and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform on-the-job training to ensure new staff is qualified for their positions.

• Inform new staff about company policies and procedures.

• Provide training for those working within specific departments.

• Communicate any issues or concerns with the department Supervisor or Operations Manager.

• Maintain communication with the DC Manager, reporting directly to them.

• Collaborate with, and have a dotted line reporting relationship to, the Learning & Development Manager.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1+ years of experience in warehouse environment and operations preferred.

• 1+ years of experience in group training and mentorship preferred.
