This position is full or part time position. The Nurse Practitioner works closely with the Medical Director to best provide medical services to the children of Elmcrest Children's Center. The Nurse Practitioner has oversight of the nursing staff. The Nurse Practitioner must work effectively with other departments to most effectively deliver health and medical services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary and acute health care for children at Elmcrest Children's Center, at the discretion and supervision of the Medical Director.
- Arrange for sub-specialty consultation and interventions at the discretion and under the supervision of the Medical Director.
- Review sub-specialty consultations and medical recommendations for children, with the goal of providing optimum wellness and continuity of care.
- Conduct initial and annual physical examinations of children.
- Assist with revision of medical clinic policies and practices to promote the safe and effective delivery of health care services to the children of Elmcrest Children's Center if needed.
- Maintain a current and on-going knowledge of pediatric health issues and practices through medical literature, in-services, workshops, etc.
- Participate in monthly administrative group meetings if needed.
- Participate in clinical team meetings, as needed, to effect treatment planning on children that require the expertise of a medical professional.
- Provide training for medical staff as needed.
- Develop and maintain collaborative and resourceful internal and external communications.
- Other duties assigned by Director of Clinical Services & Community Programs or Medical Director.
