FLSA STATUS:       Part-Time Faculty (Adjunct)

LOCATION:            On campus (Required California Resident Only)

SALARY:                $2,160 per unit

 

 

Seeking School of Psychology P.T. Faculty: In-Person, Asynchronous, and Synchronous Courses

 

Description: Notre Dame de Namur University seeks faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the undergraduate Psychology Degree Completion and graduate Clinical Psychology Departments. We seek experienced faculty to teach in person and online at our Belmont, CA campus, including synchronous and asynchronous courses.

 

The undergraduate B.A. in Psychology program is a student-centered general psychology degree completion program that provides education and tools for students to accomplish a successful post-graduation career. The graduate Master of Science in Clinical Psychology program is a depth-oriented, integrative clinical psychology program that trains students to become unlicensed mental health professionals, licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (M.F.T.s), and licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCCs) who work in clinical, consultative, social service, and business settings.

 

We are currently seeking faculty to teach courses such as Psychotherapy Interventions: Expressive Arts Therapy, Couples Therapy, Positive Psychology, Family Systems and Relational Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cross-Cultural Issues, Neurophysiology and Psychopharmacology, Organizational Consultation and Evaluation for Mental Health Professionals, and Coaching for Psychotherapists and Mental Health Professionals.

 

Qualifications (necessary):

 Undergraduate courses:

  • M.A. or M.S. in psychology, social work, or human development from a regionally accredited university.
  • Graduate courses:
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from a regionally accredited university psychology department.
  • Licensed clinical psychologist with current C.A. license and active clinical work.

 

Other qualifications (highly desirable):
 

Undergraduate:

  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses.
  • Experience in the psychological or social work field.

Graduate:

  • Experience teaching a range of Clinical Psychology courses at the graduate level.
  • Clinical skills and expertise.

For Undergraduate and Graduate:

  • Compatibility with the department's and university's mission and philosophy.
  • Experience working with students of diverse populations, including traditional and non-traditional students.
  • Experience working with online Learning Management Systems (NDNU uses Canvas) and online course delivery, synchronous and/or asynchronous modalities.
