The Audio Engineer contributes to compelling, distraction-free worship services by overseeing all audio production that impacts Sunday morning worship services, weeknight services and other special events in the Worship Center; by training, inspiring, and developing the volunteer audio team for live events; and by designing, installing, and maintaining audio equipment in the Worship Center and CHCC campus as needed.

Provide Expertise in Audio System Set Up and Operation

  • Execute Front-of-House and Monitor positions, using volunteers or contractors as needed
  • Evaluate quality and the most effective use of existing audio equipment
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of audio equipment
  • Research, acquire and install new equipment
  • Assist in campus-wide audio systems engineering


Recruit and Lead a Highly Effective Audio Volunteer Team  

  • Build a culture defined by love and unity  
  • Train, lead, and direct volunteer team for maximum impact 
  • Cast vision regularly by sharing stories and celebrating wins 
  • Provide coaching and feedback for continuous improvement


Perform Other Duties and Tasks as Assigned

Demonstrate a Commitment to Growth 

  • Receive and apply training and development from the Technical Arts Director
  • Attend department and All-Staff meetings 
  • 5+ years of live audio production and crew management
  • Expert knowledge of live event/broadcast audio systems
