Position Overview:
This Desktop Support role is responsible for administration, configuration, monitoring, and updating of assigned servers and workstations. This position also assesses and identifies appropriate solutions to be integrated into the company’s IT Operation’s and makes recommendations for implementation. This is a non-exempt, non-supervisory position, reporting directly to the IT Operations Manager.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Building, installing, testing and administrating systems including Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Windows Server, and Mac
• Active Directory administration (user and computer creation, administration, and access configuration)
• Exchange administration (mailbox creation, administration, and access configuration)
• Managing and maintaining the enterprise integrated desktop and mobile device management software through Endpoint Central
• Supporting warehouse operations and related IT systems
• Asset management of both end user IT hardware and software across the enterprise
• Mitigation of risk by ensuring software and patches are kept up to date utilizing WSUS and the company’s desktop and mobile device management software
• Experienced desktop support functions (OS troubleshooting from basic break-fix to advanced disaster recovery of non-booting systems)
• Basic local and network connectivity including troubleshooting TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
• Complying with all company personnel policies and practices as well as all federal, state, and local standards/requirements
