Bend Test Operator Lead (2nd Shift, Mon to Fri)

Job Title: Quality Control Bend Test Operator Lead (2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 1:30 pm to 10 pm)

Reports To: Quality Manager

Location: IRVINE, CTC GLOBAL HQ                       

Department:    QUALITY ASSURANCE/CONTROL               

SUMMARY:

Sets up and operates machines to test the composite score in a prescribed quality control process following established procedures and guidelines.  Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications in a timely fashion.  Perform repairs as necessary per work standards.  Lead and instruct other operators on day-to-day scheduling and maintain a safe working environment by using and enforcing the use of PPE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets up and operates the testing of the composite score to a prescribed bend radius.
• Reads and interprets procedures, work instructions, and guidelines.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks to complete goals.
• Works under general supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have 0 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Follow documented processes using best and safe practices.
• Use and operate measuring instruments, such as calipers.
• Familiar with quality paperwork and understand ISO and quality control processes.
• Maintain a high degree of integrity in recording quality issues.
• Willingness to cross-train and share knowledge and skills with others.
• Maintain required and accurate paperwork.
• Housekeeping/maintenance of work area and machinery.
• Identify and initiate product and process improvements.
• Safety- and goal-oriented.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Able to operate various types of forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Execute basic math skills.
• Perform in a team environment.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
