The Role

The Project Coordinator will assist in new greenhouse development and construction opportunities across the United States. This position will be key to the company's timely execution and budget maintenance throughout the project stages by effective preparation, coordination and management of project tasks. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating day-to-day action items, documentation, and reporting for the Construction + Development team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience working with construction projects, an impeccable attention to detail and superior skills in managing multiple priorities and stakeholders. This position will report directly to an assigned Project Manager and is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organized leader to join a rapidly growing, innovative, disruptive company in the 21st century food system. Work location is flexible if approved by the Company except that position may not be performed remotely from Colorado,

 

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and support all activities for new developments including but not limited to budgeting, planning and design, project timeline and milestones, service contracting, project implementation oversight and project closure

  • Produce project management reporting documents that track the scope of work, budget, third parties billing progress, and schedule

  • Maintain and track all project-related documents including correspondences, permits, agreements, sketches, submittals, drawings, spreadsheets, notes, etc.

  • Assist Project Manager with bi-monthly invoicing approval process and work with internal Accounting team to communicate with third-party payees on billing requests and/or revisions

  • Submit requests for pricing proposals (RFPs) to vendors/consultants as needed, analyze proposals, and make recommendations to Project Manager on best path forward

  • Ensure efficient response for all requests and communication for internal and external stakeholders

  • Track project status and manage issues and risks to include evaluation of progress/quality/costs and developing action plans to address gaps throughout project life cycle

  • Following project closure, liaise with internal Operations/Facilities teams to manage project turnover, including transfer of all O&M documents (warranties, preventative maintenance guides, procedures, etc.)

  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate and timely

 

Who You Are

  • 2+ years experience specializing in real estate development and/or construction; industrial or manufacturing preferred; greenhouse or CEA experience a plus

  • Understanding of civil engineering, MEP engineering or construction with a relevant associated degree

  • Experience completing construction projects from concept through sign off

  • Proven track record of building multiple successful projects simultaneously

  • Experience in project scheduling, coordination and knowledge of general construction practices required

  • Responsive with a sense of urgency to ensure project continues to move forward

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capability; ability to think strategically and creatively

  • Strong relationship management skills and capable of establishing respect and credibility through actions, communication, understanding and personal presence

  • Ability to maturely handle confidential issues with discretion and diplomacy

  • Understanding of construction cost estimating and take-offs

  • Excellent MS Project, Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook and Word skills required

  • Exemplary writing skills

  • AutoCAD / Revit and Adobe Creative Suite skills a plus

  • Superior organizational skills

  • Job site travel may be required
