The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
As the Director of Development, you will partner with the President & CEO to lead all aspects of development operations, with a focus on major giving, philanthropic outreach, and grants development. The Director of Development will support the growth of diverse revenue streams through traditional and nontraditional development strategies, which will include the completion of an ongoing $8.5M capital campaign.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience providing effective and inspiring leadership through all aspects of development operations, fully develop a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization, and implement innovative strategies related to major gifts, planned giving, the annual fund, and grants stewardship. The Director of Development must be an excellent communicator, have the ability to build strong relationships, and have a passion for The Arc’s mission.
This role requires five years of leadership experience in fundraising, with at least three of those years as a Major Gifts Officer/at the Director-level, as well as a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree or a CFRE certification is a plus. The salary is $110,000 annually and comes with a competitive total rewards package.
