JOB SUMMARY:  This position will be responsible for reviewing all loan documentation to ensure the bank’s compliance with regulations of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and serving as Administrative Assistant for all Loan Risk Department functions.




  • Input HMDA information into software and maintain accuracy of Loan Application Register (LAR) of all HMDA loans for regulatory reporting
  • Review all new loans to identify loans applicable to HMDA.
  • Work with Supervisor and Compliance Officer to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Review documentation of HMDA loans to ensure correct information has been provided and give approval to be processed.
  • Ensure compliance related to loans applicable to HMDA
  • Check in Loan Files when received from Loan Administration.
  • Promptly review Adverse Action Notices and Withdrawals for adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Prepare weekly reports of processed Credit Denial/Withdrawals.
  • Review all loans to entities to confirm compliant Beneficial Ownership Documentation prior to processing.
  • Provide HMDA training and guidance for all lending personnel as needed.
  • Provide Credit Denial/Adverse Action Training for FSRs and Lenders as needed.
  • Maintain/Update Loan Workbook and all forms needed for Loan Risk Department.
  • Maintain COPE as Disaster Recovery Representative for Loan Risk Department
  • Back up for Flood Monitoring.
  • Back up Appraisal Administrator to include preparing validations and evaluations if needed.
  • Back up loan file compliance check.
  • Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Effectively work and cooperate with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Responsible to keep all the most current version of Policies and Procedures posted on the Intranet.
  • Follow directions of the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.



  • High School Education and 2 years banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous banking experience in areas of lending or equivalent of education and knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to become proficient using loan software.
  • Proficient computer skills including Windows applications and other MS Office applications, 10 key, and keyboard.
  • Clerical, administrative and customers service skills required.

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
  • Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.
