Role Summary: As a Network Infrastructure Technician at Surf Internet, you play a crucial role in maintaining and managing our fiber optic and wireless network infrastructures. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the continuous operation of our network services, addressing and resolving network issues, and performing both routine and emergency maintenance. Your work is vital in delivering reliable internet services to our residential and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Issue and Ticket Management:

Manage service tickets related to outages and technical problems.

Respond promptly to tickets, diagnosing and resolving issues to restore service and minimize downtime.

Repairs and Troubleshooting:
-
Conduct thorough troubleshooting and repair tasks for both fiber optic and wireless networks.

Handle after-hours emergency repairs and maintenance to address network damages and service interruptions.

Utilize OTDR accurately and efficiently to troubleshoot fiber issues
-
Splicing utilizing single and ribbon splicers mastery to work on fiber repairs and outages
-
Documentation and Reporting:

Keep accurate records of network configurations, maintenance activities, and repair logs.

Provide detailed reports on network issues, actions taken, and resolution outcomes.
